Personal History
I'm a 36 yr old ex professional mxer. Ive been racing for 25 yrs & I held an AMA pro license in Mx/Sx from 1997-2002. Qualified for numerous Sx shows & Mx Nationals. In 2002 I was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer like the great Lance Armstrong. I went through a yr of deadly chemo & survived with my determination & God's grace. Being an in shape professional athlete at the time really helped with beating this disease. I took a little time off and got back in shape. Since beating cancer, I've raced at Loretta Lynn's National championship 4 times in the +25 class & +30 class. I race in the Mega Series, SAS series & the GA series mostly. I also go to a few amatuer National Championships a yr. My goal in 2013 is to win Loretta Lynn's in the +30 class.
Besides riding I work full time at UPS as a driver and have been there 14 yrs. I also have a wife that I've been married to for 17 yrs & a daughter. I'm a very friendly guy that loves to race competitively and enjoy life. I also enjoy golf, road biking, Mtn biking, running, family time and going to the lake. But Mx is my passion and has been since 1986. I am a nationally fast vet rider and portray a very professional image at the races. At these races on the podium and elsewhere, I always promote my sponsors in a professional and grateful manner.
Riding Goals
To win Loretta Lynn's National Championship in the +30 class in 2013. Also to get another national title in the spring of 2013.
Competitive Highlights
Qualified for numerous pro Sx/Mx events from 1997-2002. I've traveled all over the US racing Mx from the amateur level up to the highest pro level. Raced LL's in the 125B class in 1994 & 1996. Raced the +25 class at LL's in 2002 & 2003. And raced LL's in the +30 class in 2008 & 2012.
