Personal History

Been serving in the Army Reserves for over 13 years now. Currently on active duty assignment at Fort Bliss TX and I’ve been enjoying getting to explore so much of NM in my truck with my rescue dog Amelia, on my motorcycle (2017 Kawasaki Versys x300), and my favorite- exploring on my dirt bike (2023 GasGas Ex250). Camping and off-roading really go hand in hand with me, it’s my happy place. I also really enjoy playing around with my GoPro Max and letting my creative side out with the editing features. Been riding motorcycles for over 7 years and been riding dirt bikes for 3 years or so. If given the choice between riding street or riding my dirt bike- I’d choose riding my dirt bike for sure. Dirt bikes really have saved me from some hard times in my life, but it’s more than that. Dirt bikes to me have been such a powerful analogy of how we fall down in life but what matters most is that we pick ourselves up one more time. I’ve met some profoundly helpful mentors and role models along my journey getting into the desert race scene with NMRC. I’ve shared blood, sweat, and tears. And I wouldn’t change it for the world. I look forward to all the growth and challenges up ahead in my journey to becoming a rider that can inspire others to do things they never thought they could do.

Riding Goals

I ride to feel set free from the chaos and the noise of life, when I ride- nothing else is in my mind other than the connection between the bike and I.

I ride to feel captivated by the feeling of being one with a powerful machine, the hypnotic rhythms and patterns that come with varying terrain/ challenges.

I ride to see the proof deep within myself that I can learn, I can grow, I can become stronger, and I can overcome obstacles in my path- even when I get knocked down over and over again.

I ride to face fear and seek to understand, that confidence comes with experience, and that is the key to becoming comfortable even in the unknown.

I ride for the extraordinary people I meet and have the honor of struggling with and growing with, building connections and making memories that are arguably unforgettable.

And lastly, I ride, to set my inner child free. Getting lost in the simplicity of the butterflies in the stomach when I catch air or the happy dances, throwing hands up in the air ecstatically, the happy tears at the light bulb moments, and the whole hearted laughs.

My goal is to podium 3rd place in Women’s C Class for NMRC series and next year my goal is to get first place overall for Women’s C Class in the series.

Competitive Highlights

Got into the desert race scene for my first time this past season around March 2024. When I first started out in the season, 25mi felt impossible to cover. Now, I’m able to ride 54mi in about 2.3hrs. I was so afraid of sand, but eventually with seat time, I was able to break that fear and see sand from a different perspective- a playground. I rode 5 out of 6 race weekends this past season with NMRC. Completed 4 out of 6 pre rides, and now I’ve been training hard to get into the races next season coming up for Women’s C class. First race of this season back in Feb 2025 I got 3rd place in Women’s C Class, less than a minute behind getting 2nd place.
