Personal History

I am 16 and live north of Phoenix, Arizona. I got an ATC when I was 4 and I fell in love with it. After I got that all I wanted to do was ride. Unfortunately we had to get rid of it a year later. I was around 8 years old when I rode a dirt bike for the first time, it was a CRF70F. I was instantly hooked. To me it was like a drug. But it wasn't until I was 12 that I got one of my own. My parents bought an XR100 for me for Christmas. I rode that thing every single day. But within a year my skill level had increased to the point where I couldn't just take it easy and cruise, I had to go fast and ride hard. But the bike couldn't take it. It got to the point where it wouldn't work for more than a week at a time before something else broke. But I had to keep riding it for a couple years because of money issues. My freshman year in highschool, my parents bought me a 2004 CRF250R, which is the bike I still ride today, almost 2 years later. I love that bike. When I first got it it was a little awkward, going from a small trail bike to a full blow race machine isn't easy. But in a couple days I was back to riding like hell. I rode every day that I could, and I got better and better. I started to hit big jumps around my house and was getting faster and faster on the trails. I decided at the end of the year that I wanted to start racing. So for Christmas my parents bought me all new gear, and signed me up for the 2010 Arizona Grand Prix Series. I took to it like a natural, getting 3rd out of 20 in my very first race, and that was only because my bikes clutch burned out on the last lap and the bike couldn't go above 10- 15 mph. Since then I have signed up for the 2010 Arizona State Championship series as well, however I have missed the firt four races in that series so I have a lot of catching up to do, but I know I can do it.

Riding Goals

Goal 1: Form. I need to work on keeping me elbows out and standing up more. I'm trying to teach myself to ride more on the front of the bike and be a little more aggressive with passing and cornering.

Goal 2: Fitness. I'm 16, 6 feet tall, and 135 lbs. I need to build some more muscle and work on my endurance.

Goal 3: Trust my bike more. I still don't fully trust my bike to do what I need it to, and its costs me valuble time. I need to learn my bike limits and push it to those limits.

Competitive Highlights

Getting 3rd in my first race ever was a pretty big deal to me. It could have been first too, if my bikes clutch didn't burn out. But I'm still a new racer, So I don't have much to speak of yet. I have only 2 races in which I finished below 3rd place so far. And I have 2 holeshots to speak of so far. Even though my racing career is just starting out, I'm sure I will have many more huge accomplishments in the coming years.
