Personal History

Started racing in 1990 as 14 year old in the 125 Beginner class in Norcal...moved thru the ranks and won various large events Hangtown Amateur National 250 Novice, 250 Intermediate, numerous top 5's in Golden State Nationals in 125 Intermediate and numerous wins in 250 Intermediate.  Won Washougal Amateur National as 250 Novice.  Turned professional in 1995 and then decided it was time to go a different direction.  Walked away completely for 27 years until old lifetime racing buddies convinced me to finally get another bike.  Bought a new 2022 CRF450R 2 weeks later.  Was completely out of shape with no idea how to ride a 4 stroke.  Didnt ride it much and then decided to go to Mammoth...had 8 motos under my belt before i got there...made the main Saturday but was in no shape to be remotely competitive and got 32nd.  Decided to get serious and have since lost 44 pounds in 6 months and went from 32nd at Mammoth to an 8th in 40+ and 3rd in 45+ at Dubya World Vets in November.  Just getting started in my 2nd life as a vet racer and couldnt be happier to be back on the bike after so long away.
