Personal History
My name is Carson Marquardt, I am 17 years old from Thorsby, Alberta, Canada. I race a 2019 Yamaha Yz250, primarily in the -30 expert class in the AOTMX circuit. I have raced across Canada from British Columbia for the Western Canadian Amateur Nationals, to Manitoba for a club race at the Moto Park-X in Altona. I have also raced down in America during a club race at Magic City Motocross in North Dakota.
I am currently enrolled in all the highest grade 12 classes (they are called 30-1 here) in Thorsby High School and I have been on the honour roll consistently since 7th grade. During the winter I hope to do some Arenacross if I can. I also play basketball for our school team and for a league team, I snowmobile in the mountains and plan on doing some hill climb racing, and I go to the gym and train almost every week day. I also work all summer to help pay for racing and everything that goes along with it as much as I can.
At the track I always try to keep my best behaviour no matter what. On the track I keep racing clean and I never ride dirty. Off the track I offer to help with any track work or any other volunteer work that I can do to help. My friends and I have fun during race weekends but we never do anything disrespectful to the track, our organization, or anybody else who might be there. When I’m racing I give it everything I have until the race is over no matter what.
Riding Goals
My riding goals for next season are to do my best in -30 expert and hopefully come home with the championship on my new bike. I will be training during the winter and doing everything I can to be ready for the 2020 race season.
