Personal History

My name is Caroline Cooper and I am 13 years old and live in Ruston, La. I learned to ride a dirt bike (XR80) when I was about 11 years old. I have been a cheerleader for my school and I have been the starting goalie for a club soccer team for the past 2 years. I am a straight 'A' student at my school.

Before June 2015, I had very limited time on a MX track having only ridden maybe 3 times. Ashley Fiolek held a riding clinic in June 2015 at my local track and so my dad took me. I was very inspired by Ashley but I was still riding the XR80 and not very confident in the class. In August 2015, my dad bought me a 2014 KX 85 to help me to get faster and ride better on the track. However, I was only able to ride it 3 times before Ashley held another clinic in December of 2015. I was very nervous at first but I really enjoyed being on the track and riding with the other girls. After this class, I told my Dad I may want to race.

After riding more at my local track through January, on February 1st I decided to no longer play soccer and focus solely on riding and racing this year. I have been working with Josh Branch (owner of Dirt Slingers MX) on my riding position, assessing the track and getting faster on the bike.

With everything I do in life, I am a very hard worker and a perfectionist.

Riding Goals

For 2016, I want to get comfortable with racing and be competitive. I will enter my first race on April 9th, 2016 at Desoto MX Park in Grand Cane, LA.

I feel with all of the training that I am currently doing and my desire to excel, I will be competitive in the 85 Beginner class and hopefully move up classes.

I am currently committed to running the Texas Full Moon Series (9 rounds), the Texas Lone Star State Championship (8 rounds) and the DeSoto MX Park Shoot Out Series (5 Rounds). I know this is a lot of racing for my first year but, when I commit to something, I put all of my effort into it.

Competitive Highlights

I won 2nd place in my first race at Desoto MX Park. It was a Loretta Lynn's Area Qualifier and now I am preparing for the Loretta Lynn's SC Regional at Oakhill MX in Texas.
