Personal History
Hello my name is Cameron Whaley, I am twelve years old, in the seventh grade, and love to race motorcross. I live in eastern NC and race with Southern Motorcross series. I have been competing for three seasons, but riding for approximately six years. Last year I was the points champion for the ATV senior division and finished second overall for 65cc (7-9). I try to work hard and improve my riding skills by practicing and attending riding schools. I completed a school conducted by Bill Ballance for ATV's. .
My other hobbies are baseball, hanging out with friends, and taking care of my animals. I have a dog, cat, fish, and two rabbitts. School is important to me too. I am an honor roll student, play drums in band, and participate in AIG program (academically/gifted). I am also active in my church's youth group.
Riding Goals
I plan to compete in some Nationals next year. I plan to continue racing and moving up to different levels. Challenge myself and my competion. Working on fitness and nutrition with my family. Really want to be a AMA Pro rider.
Competitive Highlights
Last season raced all 20 races with my local series. Placed second overall for my division 65cc (7-9) and placed first with points championship for ATV senior division. I completed six of the ten 2012 AMA ATVMX National series races. The division I raced was the 90 Production (8-15) where I placed in the top ten for the series. It was a dream come true being able to compete with so many talented riders from all over the country.
