Rider Updates

Well it's been quite a crazy past few months for us! Hope you all are safe and healthy. I had the non-Traditional graduation, which was a bummer. But our local tracks have opened up more, which is AWESOME! I went out a couple weeks ago and bought one of the last 2020 Kawi KX250F's our dealer had. Man, these KX250's have sold like hot cakes here in the PNW, it's so crazy. I got to take it out and break it in last weekend. This bike is sick! So many changes from the 2013 and it's so much easier to throw around than the older bike. Hoping we can have a better end to the 2020 year! With the new bike I am going back to my old number (152). 235 is my mom's number. I was blessed to have a mom that rides who let me take her bike out and race it after my Yamaha was gone. Thanks to both my mom and Step dad for helping me out this last season and thank you to all my sponsors. Looking forward to hopefully getting to race our 2020 Thursday night MX here soon! Until then keep on practicing on your bikes and be safe everyone!

I hope you all are staying safe and healthy out there. I really miss riding! But no we will back at soon. Our last race of Woodland Mx (April 5th) was canceled due to these unprecedented times. Our awards banquet may be rescheduled but we still have not heard. We were going to be hitting up TNMX series this year, but that has also been pushed out for another month. They anticipate not starting until the middle of May. I finished off Woodland MX first in points. This is a big accomplishment since the last 2 seasons I was not able to finish due to injury. Looking forward to getting back into the seat and ripping up some tracks! Take care everyone and please stay healthy! We are all in this together.

Weather held out today, thankfully! Moto 1 I got the holeshot and held first until we hit the back of the track and was passed. I battled hard but ended up finishing 3rd. Second moto was a little rough. By then the track had really deteriorated. I was 3rd into the corner, held my position but then I stalled the bike out. It took a bit to get it fired back up (does not like to start hot). I ended up 4th, went home with 4th overall. Second moto I did not feel I did well and will going to change the idle to see if that will help me on the next race. If not, we may have to get the valves check. 4 more races and the season for Woodland is over, then off to Thursday Night MX at Portland International Raceway.

Yesterday was a great day at the track! The new tires hooked up so nice! Weather held off and the track was excellent! My starts were not as good as I would have liked, but I am happy with the end results. I placed first in moto 1 and placed 3rd in moto 2 for 2nd place overall! Love getting the bike dialed in and getting better positioning. Looking forward to round 9.

Got to put a little seat time in today since there is a break in the race season for the holidays. Track was prime, and had a great time.

Installed a new Hinson Clutch kit yesterday. Hit the track today for practice. Man was it a cold one. It was 27 degrees when we got there. Track was rock solid so they delayed practice and raked the top layer off. First couple laps, took her easy, but then opened her up the rest of the day. The bike felt so good now that we got the clutch issue fixed and the suspension all dialed in.

Track was so so yesterday. JMR Suspension was on site for suspension tuning. My race sag felt off and I was getting quite a bit of head shake. Before my first moto Jason with JMR was able to adjust my sag (which was way off) and the forks a little. He said to see how it does the first moto and come back to finishing dialing it in. Well I had quite a bit of head shake so took it back over and he hooked me. Suspension is all dialed in. With that fixed now I do not have much drive so this week is installing a new clutch kit and cleaning up the basket. I will be off this weekends race and only hitting practice day for testing and try to get all dialed in before next round. I also got my new graphics kit from Factory Backing, they look sick and I am so excited to show them off at the track. Thank you for the support!

Yesterday was a rough one for me. I was not 100% due to fighting an illness. I struggled first moto off the gate, as my bike died and took awhile to get started back up. By the time I got off the gate the pack was already 2 turns ahead of me. I did finish the first moto pretty good for being as far back as I was. 2nd motto I had a much better start, but my strength was just not there so my finish was only 1 position higher at 13th out of 18, with an overall position of 14 for the day. Not the finish position I wanted but next round I will come back feeling better. Want to thank my new sponsors for giving the opportunity to part of their team.
