Personal History

My parents bought me a Honda 50 when I was 3 and they haven't been able to get me off a bike since.  We started out trail riding as a family.  When I was 11 I decided I wanted to try racing, so my mom took me to a track.  Needless to say, I came home begging to race.  My parents exchanged all of our trail bikes, our flatbed trailer, and our toy hauler for race bikes for me, an enclosed trailer, and a motor home!  My dad said we were all in or nothing!  I live by that to this day.  We attended every race possible for about a year and when not racing, I was training.  In order for my parents to be able to afford it all, they both worked full time during the week and my mom vended at the races making bling apparel for all the moms.  My dad has always been my mechanic, but I am always right by his side.  I want to know what is going on with my bikes and be able to do the maintenance my self.  At the end of 2012, my family decided it was time to make a leap and move from our home on .5 acre to somewhere that I can ride because the closest track to us is 1.5 hours away and is only open Wed, Sat, and Sun.  We sold our house and moved into our motorhome thinking it would be a short time before we found the land we were looking for...  WRONG!  It has been a year now and we are still toughing it out in our motorhome, ready to close escrow on the perfect property late February.  Unfortunately my parents had to take a break from racing because it was too hard for them now that we lived in our motorhome and many of our belongings were stored in our trailer...  My mom also finally decided it was ok for me to home school.  BUT she was not on board with the traditional home school method.  She enrolled me in a virtual academy.  It was really hard to get used to at first because the standards are way higher than our public schools.  But I am finally doing really well!  I am mastering all of my assignments with an 80% or above, which is the requirement for this school.   No, I am working really hard and extra hours to complete two weeks of school at a time so I can be with a trainer every other week.  It has really worked out well to get me back in the game!

Riding Goals

Of course I have dreams of seeing my self on TV some day...  Doesn't every rider?  But my parents have taught me to try to focus on a goal that I can accomplish now.  I set personal goals for my self on a daily basis.  So, if I cycle for 20 minutes in the morning on Mon., my goal is to add 5 minutes every day.  When I arrive to the track for practice, I pick a jump or a turn that I might not be as good at and make it my goal to have it perfected before I leave the track.  These little goals help me to stay motivated and give me more confidence in myself.

I want to get to a more consistent placing in my races.  I want to finish top 5 in all races, not just some.  I want to make my sponsors proud of who they have chosen to represent their brands.

Competitive Highlights

It has been a while since I have raced so I don't have many recent highlights.  When I was racing all of the time I was consistently in the top three and even took home a CMC Championship.  I have to admit I usually have great starts, so I tend to pull the hole shot often.

Im looking forward to working really hard this year and being able to update this spot with more highlights!!
