Personal History
I have been riding dirt bikes since I was three years old. I grew up watching my dad race Hare N hounds, Bitd, Grand Prixs and sprint enduros. He also threw some Baja stories in the mix as well. I’ve always wanted to race, but my Mom didn’t want me to because she was afraid I would get hurt for Baseball and Football. I have always been determined to race and improving my skills. I only would ride three to four times a year until I was sixteen. My first race was at sixteen and it was a great experience. It made me want to get better with my skills as a technical rider and speed rider. I grew up in Fullerton California where I attended Troy High School where I graduated in 2022. After my graduation I started taking my fitness very serious. I go to a trainer 2-3 times a week and I train on my own at least 5. I try to ride once a week either out in the desert or at the local track. I prefer the local desert, but the track always helps with endurance too. I’m determined to win some races in 2023 and get a good helping and support ground so I can continue to do what I love this most.
Riding Goals
My goals for this upcoming 2023 is to win the Open Expert class with my teammate Jacob Endress. I have done a 2 of these races in the past and they were a lot of fun. My first race ever was the Parker 250 in 2021 where we were able to finish 4th in class and 20th overall. It was a fun experience and it gave me a drive for success. This year my goal is to win the number 1 plate in class and prove that we can race in Baja for the 2024 season.
I also plan on doing Hare N hounds, Sprint Enduros, and a few Grand Prixs at the end of the year. I will start in the Novice 250 classes to find my identity and groove. By the end I want to be hopefully promoted to intermediate or even worse expert. The goal is to win every race and prove that I can compete at a high level.
Competitive Highlights
I had two races in the 2022 season. They were both team races because racing is new to me. They were the Sra Glen Helen night race and the Laughlin Desert Classic for BITD. Sra was a great race we ended up first place. It was my second time ever on a track. I struggled on the practice lap, but I got into a great groove and started to understand how ruts work, when it’s appropriate to pass, breaking into turns and throttling out of turns. The Laughlin Desert Classic was going insanely smooth. Went into the first day with a hole shot and led the entire expert class until I had a bit crash on the third lap. Handed it off to my partner where he was able to regain the lead and we finished first in class and tenth overall. The second day my teammate started and hole shotted. He was leading until the middle of the second lap where he had a big get off and had to ride seven miles with one arm. By the time I was handed the bike it was in bad shape and we were back of the pack. I was able to salvage some spots, but we ended up 5th in class and 19th overall. I’m looking forward to these upcoming events to get some wins and start getting my name out there for potential sponsors. Thank you
