Personal History

I love racing. Not just motocross but really anything that can be raced. It's how I've always been and probably always will be. Dirt oval track racing is becoming a huge passion of mine. On the weekends I am not away racing moto I am at the dirt track writing post race reports, doing driver interviews, and running their Facebook page. I am the sports writer for the Southern New Mexico and El Paso Speedways park, racetracks. Ive loved motocross since I got my first bike at 8 years old. It was christmas and probably one of the greatest gifts I've ver received. My grandpa was so happy when he gave it to me and I will never forget going to races with him and my dad or training my butt off to make them happy. MY dad and I went everywhere together to race He was my coach, riding partner, and physical trainer as well as being a pretty decent mechanic when things broke or the bike was having issues. Anytime i get discouraged or down on myself after a bad race I just think of how hard my dad and I trained for all those years and hard seasons. Being at college at New Mexico State University ha definitely changed the way I train but i still give it everything I have everytime I get on the bike.

Riding Goals

I ride because its a passion. Motocross is not just a sport or a fun hobby. It is a complete lifestyle. Riding for me is about always getting better than I was the day before. Or the ride before. It about always being mentally prepared for what life throws at you. Anytime I have a rough day or something didn't go my way, I can just unload the bike and its all gone while I'm tapped out. Riding is not the same as racing. To me racing is the reward for riding you hardest and training to be your best. I love them both but there is no feeling like just skimming along a sand whoop section in the desert, pinned in 5th. ITs the fine line between skimming the wheels and dipping one into a whoop. Thats why I ride. To find the edge, To know that on a bike is where I belong. This year I am racing in the Intermediate class at Tulie MX in Tularosa, New Mexico. I am shooting for a top 3 finis overall for the season points. The season 2015-2016 has been going great so far. IN early 2016 I will be racing the Kicker Arenacross series by Cycle City Promotions. IM racing B and Open Outlaw in that series and am shooting for first overall in both. By the time the series opener inFebruary comes around I believe I will be fast enough to win them all. I would also like to make a run at Loretta Lynn if the right sponsorships came along.

Competitive Highlights

A major highlight in my moto racing has to be going to Ponca City National in 2013. Going with my dad and our large group of riding buddies was an awesome experience. Everyone there was so fast and it really pushed me to my limit and made me want to train so much harder. I took 17th out of 43 in Novice and 11th in Novice Mod. Running The Kicker Arenacross series from 85's all the till present is something I really highlight on as well because arena cross is something completely different than motocross. The beast's are two completely different things and meeting new people and having new experiences are something I love.
