Personal History

My name is Bryce Jorgensen. I am living the moto life here in Montana. I live and breathe motocross. I am fortunate to have my own racing compound. I build, maintain, and ride on my two tracks. I have an outdoors style track, and a tight arenacross style track. I also have a freestyle ramp at my place, no one is too serious on freestyle here, but it provides for a good time. I often have people from the area come out to ride. I consider motocross to be my hobby. When people ask what my hobbies are, I tell them motocross, then my mind draws a blank when I try to think of more. I do also like going to the lake, going tubing, and ripping around on the jet ski. I enjoy any custom vehicle. I like fixing and driving cars and trucks.

Riding Goals

My plans for the next year are to race Arenacross this winter. I will be racing the 250 A and Open A.  My goal is to finish the season in at least 3rd place overall in both classes. If I can find the money, I want to race some Pro-am races next summer to get Pro license points. Since I live in Montana, every race will require lots of traveling and a huge gas bill, that is why I need all the support I can get. I want to race Millville, Red Bud, Hesperia, and Little Falls. I will have a better idea of which ones I’ll race when the schedule is posted. Along with those, I also plan to race locally here in Montana.

Competitive Highlights

I started riding motorcycle in 1999 when I was 8 years old.  When I was 12, I started getting into racing by doing a few races a year.  When I turned 14, I began racing full time and went to every local race I could.  I raced in the 250 and Open Novice class the first two years and ended up with a few good results, such as many top five finishes and a third place season overall.

At 16, I moved into the Intermediate ranks and raced both the 250 and 450 class.  That year was when I really got motivated to be as fast as possible and sacrificed everything that was in my way.  I started eating right, working out, and practicing on my motorcycle.  I continued to race outdoors during the summer and started racing Arenacross indoors during the winter.  I was very successful for two years in the Intermediate class and had a few wins, but mostly top fives.  In those two years, I finished two overall seasons in second, and two in third.

In 2009, at 18, I moved into the Expert class and raced the 250 and Open.  I had a very successful summer and had many top three finishes, and finished second overall in both classes.  I raced Arenacross again that winter and had many top five finishes, and ended up overall in fourth and sixth place. In 2010, I had a very successful summer.  I won my first Expert class moto and finished with many top threes.  I finished that outdoors season in second overall in both the 450 and Open Expert classes.  The last two winters, I raced Arenacross with two organizations, one in South Dakota, and the other in North Dakota. I rode well and had some good results. I had many top five finishes.

My largest goal in racing has been to constantly be improving on my bike. I feel like I have continued to do that this summer. I have had several holeshots and raced upfront in many races. I feel like I am maturing as a rider. I have established myself as an expert rider, not just someone who rides in the Expert class.

My greatest accomplishment in racing has been my consistent improvement.  Every year I’ve raced, I’ve gotten faster and improved my riding more, and I believe I will only get faster as I continue to race.  I’ve always tried my hardest and have never stopped looking for ways to improve.  I’ve never been too content with my performance and have always strived to be better.  I don’t plan on ever quitting racing until I’m as fast as possible.
