Personal History
Hello, my name is Bryan Stokosa.
My father always said, never expose your child to anything that you don’t want he or she to become interested in doing or becoming. He took our family on adventures to see airplanes at Boeing Field, car races at Seattle International Raceway, trucks at the Kenworth factory and motorcycle races the Monroe fairgrounds. Today, I drive dump truck for a living, have a private pilots license, and have raced motorcycles since 1979.
I have been riding motorcycles since I was 12. My first bike was a Kawasaki 120, back in 1968. Driving my mother crazy on a Hodaka Super Rat that I rode on trails built in the woods around our house, was my childhood passion.
My first competitive event was at Mattawa WA, now known as the Desert 100. I raced the open amature class on a 400 Husky. I got my butt kicked, but was hooked on racing. I’ve always had a competitive nature as I was a runner in school & played football. Slalom & barefoot waterskiing competitions in the summer and downhill skiing in the Corporate League, round out my sporting portfolio, but motorcycles are my first love.
As an adult, I took time to build a trucking & excavating business, which has allowed me to get back into racing.
In 2004, I joined the Oregon Motorcycle Racing Association . Not knowing where to begin, I signed up for the Sportsman class, riding a 500 Husky. Two years later, I switched to KTM, and moved to the 40 Amature class, taking 2nd & 1st overall. 3rd overall the next year in the Open Expert class, and now, two years in the AA class, placing 3rd & 2nd overall respectively.
My race bike is a Christini two wheel drive KTM 300 XCW . The motorcycle is a big attention getter . People are always stopping to ask about it and how it works.
Being outgoing and easy to approach I will explain how it works and the accessories that I have added to make it better and faster.
I am looking forward to broadening my racing to include WORCS and EnduroCross.
