Personal History

Hi, my name is Bridgette Marquette. I am 13 year old and have been racing for 3 ½ yrs. starting in 2009 and I’ve been desert riding since I was 2 ½ years old. Ever since I was 5 yrs. old I wanted to race, unfortunately my parents said the sport was too dangerous and too expensive. They were hoping the fever of racing would go away with time, but the passion only got greater.  Finally when I was 10 my parents let me experience the M.X. track at AV and I instantly fell in love with it. Ever since then I’ve kept going back and practicing more and more until my 1st race. I was really nervous when I was on the line until the gate dropped and I took the hole-shot. During the second motto I was in second until the last lap when the guy in front of me fell in a corner, which put me in 1st place; what an exciting first race.  Then I did my first series in the gold cup and finished 5th overall. Later that year I just did smaller races locally. In 2011 my mom found out about a week long Christian motocross camp, I was really excited to go to PanicRev’s camp because I have never done anything like it before because it was centered on the Lord. During that camp I met some of coolest, Christian people there, like Timmy Wiegand which is now my personal trainer!!!! Ever since I started training with him I have increasingly became better in every area of riding. Then in 2012 TRE (The Racers Edge) supported me by providing a partial sponsorship with One Industries, 661 boots, X-brand, TRE. Later that year I attended another camps through PanicRev, which was so FUN and my bike blew up; luckily it was the last day. A month later once my bike was fixed we went to Gorman to practice to allow the new motor to break in.  Suddenly I got bar smackers and only remembering hitting my head and seeing black. I quickly got up and was unable to move my arm. My goggles flew off and were about 20 ft. away from where I fall.  According to my doctor, I’ll be riding again in six weeks. They placed me in a stabilizer to hold my shoulder in place because I fractured it. On Saturday I will be getting a big wheel 85 and new graphics which I would be able to place your logo on it!  I couldn’t have done any of this without my parents or the safety of God.

Riding Goals

My goal in motocross is to become as good as Ashley Fiolek and be able to get opportunities to spread the word about God through my professional career and then once I retire racing I want to start a girl’s motocross gear business.
