Personal History

I graduated May 2016 from the University of New Hampshire with my B.S. in Neuroscience. Since then I have been accepted into the dental medicine program at Boston University. I plan to race in my this summer and hopefully into my school year. Aside from dentistry, riding has always been my passion. I first started riding in 2004 after getting an xr70 for Christmas. There is something about the unique sense of freedom I get every time I put my helmet on that never seems to get any dimmer. I am blessed to have a brother to share this passion with as well as a close group of friends and our competitive nature has pushed us to be the best we can be. My first race was in the summer of 2012 and it changed my perception of what novice meant forever. It wasn't until 2015 that we decided to get more serious than a couple races per year. Last year we made a family decision to get more involved in racing and it was the best decision we have ever made. Racing brings out the true potential of this sport and nobody is left without a role on race day. From my mom waking up in the middle of the night to pack food and extra clothes to my dad staying up late the night before making that last minute adjustment, racing truly is a family sport. That's what makes this hobby a passion. I am so thankful to be a part of such an amazing community and look forward to all that the future holds for this sport.

Riding Goals

Last year was my first semi competitive year competing in 9 of 15 races. This year my first goal is to complete the whole season. My second goal will be to ride more consistently this year and stay inside the top 10 riders every race. Last year I struggled with my fitness and that led to bike stalls which cost me a lot of time. To help relieve this issue I began going to the gym in December with my brother 5-6 days a week. This year I will come into the season as an athlete instead of a study bum. Another thing I have done with my friends is build a track to train on instead of just riding trails like in the past. These two changes will be critical for my success in my class and the fact that I have two other competitive C250 riders to train with will be even more beneficial. My final goal will be to have fun and enjoy life.
