Personal History
I’ve been riding motorcycles since 1978 and racing since the early 90’s where I ran amateur GNCC. I had a accident in 2004 that resulted in a broken back and I’m back racing full season schedules of regional harescrambles. 2020 resulted in a 4th place overall season in the CRA series in Ohio. My best finish has been second place but I ride hard and respectful. I don’t want to go home in an ambulance and I sure don’t want to be the cause of any other riders getting injured.
Riding Goals
My goal is to finish as far forward in the pack as possible without unreasonable risk. The man goal is to win. Second to that is to finish every race. Beyond that, I want to run as many races as possible and in 2020, once the tracks opened up, I raced every weekend through the end of the season. I want to ride and race and build relationships with other riders, sponsors, track and organizations. I also own and operate a small repair business and help other riders achieve their goals as best I can.
Competitive Highlights
Running GNCC in the early 90’ was a blast and I was afforded a sponsorship with Michelin and Klotz. I have to say my greatest accomplishment has been recovering from my accident, regaining the confidence to ride again and completing a very challenging 2020 season with a 4th over in my series. Going from possibly never competing again to knocking hard on a third place season ending is huge for me.
