Personal History
I grew up riding the woods with my dad. I got into racing after he took me to Hangtown National when I was a kid. I raced local CMC sanctioned events for most of my racing career. I placed 2n'd overall for several years in a row. I took a lot of time off from racing when I got my job with the sheriff's dept. I coached riding for some of the local kids at the local track. I began racing again in 2009 where again I took 2'nd overall in the 25 and up class. I had to take time off again but this time because I had gotten married and had a baby girl. I recently bought a 2014' and plan on getting back into the game again.
Riding Goals
My current goals are to begin racing again with some local sanctioned races. I am older now, and I would like for my daughter to spend time around the track. I hope for her to one day share the same passion for motorcycles as her father and mother. I guess my goals for the next season in racing is just to make sure it is a very positive experience for all those around me.
Competitive Highlights
The best part of my racing career was the people. I remember racing the 125cc beginners with my best friend who consistently had bike trouble. in between mottos we would walk the pits, and people were always letting us have parts to get his bike running again to finish the day. We graduated classes together and ended up in the 125cc intermediates. We ended up getting 250cc's and raced together for many seasons. When I had to quit racing for my work, my best friend had also had to quit due to his job. In 2009 when I returned to racing, my friend was able to return as well. We raced again together for that season of 25 and up. he took 1st and I took 2nd. Now he lives in another state, and has also bought a new bike. though we are not able to ride together currently we plan on racing again together soon! I guess you could say that my highlight has been growing up racing with my best friend, and all of the memories we have that we share with others when we get together. The best part of my racing career has been the whole thing that I will never forget.
