Personal History
I've only been riding for a short while but have been able to advance to the "A" class in only one full season of racing. I have raced desert hare scrambles and enduros in Arizona as well as spent the entire summer in New York woods racing almost every weekend honing my skills. I've entered over 20 events this calendar year alone and am always try to be out on my dirt bike trail riding or pedaling my mountain bike with friends. I have a strong background in mountain biking and this has allowed me to advanced quickly in offroad racing.
Riding Goals
My 2019 goal was to advance to the expert class before the end of the calendar year and I believe I have achieved that goal. My last race finish in Arizona was 4th out of 60 total "B" riders and I know I wasn't able to leave it all on the course as far as technique goes. I have more practice to do to be able to become a top "A" rider but my technique and control is there, I am focusing on turning up my speed in all aspects of riding in a controlled manner. My goal for 2020 is going to be to podium in the Open - A class of the Arizona Motorcycle Riders Assoc. and to enter as many WORCS, Sprint Hero, and AZOP races as I can to keep improving.
Competitive Highlights
My first race ever was the Shady Burro Enduro in 2018 where I came in 2nd place on day 1 in 250 B due to the technical riding, and my superior fitness. From there I had a 3rd place finish in a tough mud race in Arizona in Globe at the Prison Break Hare Scramble where I was able to find my groove in the mud ruts and cruise past all my competition. I moved to New York to train in the mud and wet woods and I had many good finishes in the 250 A class in NYOA hare scrambles but was still learning about racing in wet conditions. I was able to qualify for the Tough Like RORR Extreme Enduro Main Event in 2019 due to my technical riding ability but had a front brake failure at the highest part of the course and had to ride it out before being able to complete my first lap. Moving back to Arizona in my first race I placed 2nd in 250B and 4th in overall B out of over 60 riders. My lap times would put me in the last third of Expert "A" riders in that race.
