Personal History
My name is Brett Beverage an amateur motocross racer at a Vet level. I started riding at the age of 2 racing by the age of 8. My father has been the drive behind me with mechanical experience and technical knowledge. During my teenage years we were undefeated in Southwest Iowa and some of the midwest at an Intermediate and Expert Level. In July of 2008 I suffered a major injury racing breaking my neck. The doctors informed me I would be fine but not racing again. In 2011 during a routine physical I asked to get xrays to track my progression and was cleared. I have since returned to racing as a Veteran rider. Since I have put on a couple years my son has started into this crazy sport we all love and shares the same motivation and desire to do great things in the sport.
Riding Goals
My goal is to continue to compete at a Vet pro level to go to Loretta Lynn's and to pass my knowledge down. I started a small school last year teaching youth riders the fundamentals of riding a motorcycle and continue to teach small groups around western Iowa. My son's goals are to race arenacross this fall and winter. Once we are done with that we are going south for winter series in Oklahoma.
