I am a 33 year old vet rider.  I started riding when I was 8 yrs old in upstate NY.  I spent most of my riding years exploring the vast networks of trails in the NY area.  Once I graduated from high school, I put down the bike and concentrated on my studies.  Upon receiving a degree in education I moved to Baltimore, MD taking a job as a Middle School Tech Ed teacher.  At 27, I decided to get back into motocross.  I started going to the local MX tracks to pursue a childhood dream of racing MX.  After 2.5 years of practicing, I finally felt comfortable enough to enter my first race.

Riding Goals

I am now preparing for next season and welcoming a new CRF450r to the stable.  My goal for the new season is to win the 30+B class and advance into the A class.  I know I can do it.

Competitive Highlights

At the age of 30 yrs old I finally made it to the start gate.  Ironically enough my first ever 30+C race was held at Budds Creek Motocross track in a rain storm.  With having a lot of practice riding muddy trails, I finished 3rd overall that day.  I had two more races that first year and finished 4th and 3rd.  The next season I decided to participate in the District 7 AMA sanctioned series.  I finished 1st in the first 4 motos.  I decided at that point I was going to win the whole series.  After several battles over a 14 race series I won the whole thing clinching the series with two races remaining.  At the end of the season, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer.  After two surgeries in the off season I was given a 95% cure rate and was released to make my first race of the next season. I entered the 30+B class and finished third. At the fourth race I was the points leader until my motor locked up on the first lap of the race.  I dropped to third after that day and could not gain anymore positions due to the competition being so close.
