Personal History
I got into riding about 6 years, I wasnt old enough to race in the Over The Hill Gang so i just rode the support class for a couple of years until i was old enough to race. Ive owned two bikes over the past 6 years. I bought my 07 KTm SXF back in 07 and fell in love with the way it handled and its power. In 2011 I finally turned 30 and i was able to sign up and race in my first OTHG race. Racing took some getting use to at first, I was mid pack in the 30 Novice class for the beginning of the year. Over the year i gained confindence and speed. At the end of the year I won the 30 novice national championship and won the 30 Novice class championship for the Sierra OTHG. Now i have moved up to the 30 Intermediate class. I took a little break away from riding last year, i think i was wore out from riding so much. I just recently bought a 2016 Husqvarna FC450 which I ride in the 30 intermediate class for the Sierra Over the hill Gang.
Riding Goals
In 2017 I will look at finishing in the top of my class. In 2016 I was able to get some more seat time and work on my speed and endurance. I hope to continue improving and finish in the top 3 of the intermediate class, and if im consistent I will finish first.
Competitive Highlights
I won 3 out of 5 OTHG 30 novice national races in my first year racing which gave me enough points to win the OTHG 30 novice national championship out of 5 different chapters. I also won the 30 novice class championship for the sierra OTHG chapter. I placed 6th out of 200 racers in the sierra othg chapter in my first year. Started the 2017 year off good with a 1st place overall finish at the Hangover Marathon in the 30 intermediate class.
