The Seminole people are the descendents of the Creek people. The diversity of the Tribe is reflected in the fact that its members spoke seven languages- Muscogee, Hitchiti, Koasati, Alabama, Natchez, Yuchi and Shawnee.
The early history of the Creek people in Florida is not well understood. The Apalache were a Hitchiti speaking people that may have been related to the Creek Tamathli or Apalachicola. The Apalache, situated along the Apalachicola River, were in Florida at the time of Spanish contact.
This weekend was the "2nd Annual $10,000 Pro/AM Motocross" race Combined with the "Florida MX Series", and the NMA "Ponca City Qualifier" out at the Seminole Tribe MX track. I LOVED this track I had the best ride of the series out there! I even qualified for the Ponca City Qualifier..

This weekend was fun for me and the whole family. I raced for the first time at the brand new track down here in Florida called L'Cross in Okeechobee. One of my favorite times besides racing was swimming in the "Watering Hole" with my little brother..The water was SO brown and murky my dad was saying it was the redneck spa.
The track was good too. I was one of the only 65 to do the step-on step-off in the back of the track! It was a pretty big accomplishment for me!
