Personal History

I am from Montana City, Montana and I am a Sophomore at Jefferson High School.  We have a 4 day school week so it is great to have Friday's to ride or just enjoy a three day weekend every weekend.  I work hard on and off the track.  We may have a 4 day school week but that means more homework in 4 days too.

I have been learning to do bike maintenance, and not just my bike.  Mom and Dad ride too.  I help with tires, top ends, cleaning, filters and grips just to mention a few.  My tire changing time is coming down all the time.    I also have regular chores to do everyday.

On race weekends I know how important teamwork is. My Mom and Dad both ride too so we all help each other out in between motos.  Sometimes that means gassing up a bike or holding an umbrella.  I don't mind because I know they will do the same for me.   It is a lot of hard work, but fun too. There is nothing better than a long day of racing with your family there, supporing you all the way.

I am very well known in Montana but I have been racing for 10 years now.  I know that my actions mean a lot so I am always trying to be the best role model I can. I also really enjoy helping to mentor younger riders.   I have other riders asking me how to do this jump and what kind of gas I put in my bikes.  It is kind of cool when someone wants my opinion and they are older than I am.

Riding Goals

For 2012 I didn't ride the whole Montana circuit.  It was probably the first time I missed some of the Montana races in 10 years.  My Mom wasn't the President of our Motocross Association so we went to multiple race series.  There were so many races this summer and it was fun to pick and choose where we were going to race for the weekend.    We also went out to Washougal.  It was great.  I hadn't been to Washougal in several years so it was great to go back.

I have many sponsors I have had since I was on a Honda 50 and I am very happy with all of them. Many of these sponsors have been with me almost since day one.    I want to maintain the relationships I have make and do all I can to keep them satisfied with me and my racing. Without help from everyone racing is difficult.

For 2013 I will be focusing on perfecting my riding style.  My hole shots have been really getting better so that is great.    I also have a new RMZ450F that I am going to have to get used to.  I love my Yamaha's but it will be great to have something new to ride.
