Personal History
I am ten years old and would love to ride my dirt bike 24/7. I am in the fifth grade and work hard at school. PE is my favorite class and I am in the highest math group. I worked hard on the State Testing last March and received an Advanced score in Math. I choose to make good choices consistently and show good character at all times. It pays to do the right thing at all times. Because I like to be active, I choose to ride my dirt bike over any other opportunities at all times. When not riding, I am involved in many other activities. I do Land Sharks which is a running club. I compete in the 400 and 800 meter races and place in the top three every track meet. I am super competitive. I also play High Plains Little League baseball and also play some basketball. I am involved at my church and am currently doing the Biggest Small Group Bible Study. When not a school, at one of my sporting events, or at church, I can be found riding my bike and trying new stunts. As you can tell, I am very active!
Riding Goals
I love to fly! I have no fear when it comes to jumping big jumps and rhythm sections. The bigger the jump the better! My parents have to remind me when some jumps are just to big for my sized bike. My goal is to continue not being fearful of jumps. Another goal is to get better with shifting. I know I shift too soon off the starts. I want to work on this and earn many hole shots. Also, I need to improve with my cornering. I want to be able to ride quicker through the corners.
My overall goal is to continue to show good sportsmanship and remain competitive. Last year, I won many State Championships on my 50cc. My goal for the past season was to do the same. I knew it would be difficult since I was moving from a 50cc to a 65cc but with hard work, dedication and faith, I was able to earn four out of four State Championships. For the 2014 riding season, I am focused more on learning how to ride better and faster. I want to learn from the best and spend more time training. That will be my focus. I want to get faster and better with all skills and hopefully compete at a few National races.
Competitive Highlights
For the 2013 race season, I had many great racing highlights. At the Dacono track, I was one of the few 65 cc riders that was not scared to try the rhythm section. Not only did I double, double single it, but I did it smoothly. The normal National Riders that I ride against wouldn't even try it. Taking this risk helped me win many races at this track. At the Thunder Valley Track, many parents were telling their sons that they were going to have to hit the big jumps because I was going to hit them. I absolutely love the biggest jump there! I feel like I am flying and love the positive feedback I get from the spectators. This past season, I am most proud of myself for not giving up. At the Memorial Day race in Brush, I was riding really fast and was ahead of a rider who consistently does well at National races. My goal was to beat him. On the third lap, I had a small wreck. The bike twisted my left leg and I was trapped under. I was in pain but wanted to get back on that bike and ride. I was back to racing as fast as possible. A week later, I found out that I had totally blown out my left ACL. My doctor had me take a few weeks off and I was back to riding. I rode the entire season with a torn ACL and refuse to let it slow me down. Who needs an ACL anyway?
Finally, at the RMXA Championship Race in Brush, I had to place in front of another really good rider in order to win. He was actually 1 point ahead of me in two classes. I bet him by one position in one class and two positions in the other. I never gave up, said my prayers as I consistently do and worked super hard to earn that first place finish. I feel so blessed to have the mentality and skills to be a motocross racer.
