Personal History
I am 18 years old. I have been working by doing odd jobs since I was 12 to pay for dirtbikes and racing. When I was 16 I got my first real job at Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, and I am still working there today. I have been paying for my own bikes since I got off 85's. Since I was 16 I have had to pay for my own bikes, entry fees, parts, gear, etc... My dad helps me get to the races but other than that, I am on my own. I pack everything and get the trailer all ready, he just drives me there. 2 years ago in april, I had a crash that broke my humerous and my eye socket. Then later that year in september I had another crash that tore my ACL (which took nearly a year until I could get back onto the bike). So this year I am pushing hard in moto and trying for my first year at lorettas. As you can tell my year started off rocky with barely inside the top 10. But now im getting podiums. I have been training hard and following a personal training program online provided by the training facility MTF that has specifically geared workouts and training days for moto racing. I am about the graduate highschool at the end of may. I go to one period a day and then go work 10:30-7pm. After work, I go hit the gym to train. Now that it is not snowy here in UT, I will ride from about 7-dark and then go hit the gym. Once I am graduated I will work 7-3:30 and be able to ride until 6-7 and then hit the gym after. My GPA in highschool is 3.98 and I already have 15 college credits done. I am going to push hard this year and see how my results fair in the end. I can already tell they are getting way better, just since march. I am also restoring a 1988 c30 dually long bed that I am going to put a 12 valve cummins into, whenever I have spare time. I still live with my parents and they provide me with food and a house, but I pay for everything else. I have 4 other siblings. 1 older sister, 2 younger brothers, and 1 younger sister.
Riding Goals
I would like to make it to lorettas and place in the top 20-25. I have been racing a series called RMX that is here on the West Coast. It is more competitive than a Local series would be, but not as competitive as the actual national races. They prep the track just as gnarly, or more gnarly than some ameature nationals. Chance Hymas used to race this series a ton before he went pro, so its pretty legit. After I graduate, I may be moving up to a training facility in Idaho to train with Jake weimer. I still need to work out a few kinks but it should be a couple times a week, or I will stay there full time and find a job up there to support that cost. Next year I would be riding the B class and I want to start hitting National caliber races and see how I stack up and possibly become a privateer racer.
Competitive Highlights
I have a 1st place championship in the Open Am class in a local race series here in UT.
2nd place in the same local series in the schoolboy class.
I have started to get consistant Podiums in the 250c and 450c class in the RMX series.
I have gotten a couple of podiums at the Area qualifers as well.
I grew up racing offroad and endurocross but have steered more towards moto in the past couple of years. But I have some championships on 65s in endurocross.
If I raced desert, I would be a top 10 expert level rider.
