Personal History
My name is Brandon Watkins, I grew up in central Texas racing motocross as a kid, recent
graduate of Texas State University, and baller on a bicycle. After graduating college, I devoted
everything to racing enduro mtb. Currently, I live in my van in order to focus on my racing. This
allows me to be more mobile and travel at a lower cost than others. I spend most of my race
season living in my van in Colorado, then my off-season back home in Texas. The 2022 race
season has been a blast, with 2 series overalls in the Texas/Arkansas/Oklahoma and Colorado
regional series, some top 20s in Big Mountain Enduro. Though my 2022 season went well, I
know I will do better next year 2023, stoked for everything coming up next year!
Riding Goals
My goal for 2023 is to go all in! 2022 went well, but I know that with the training/ race
knowledge I gained this year, I will have much better results next year. My ‘all in’
includes full time training with a cycling strength coach, and living a disciplined lifestyle
that promotes athleticism. The Big Mountain Enduro series will be my primary focus, I
will be attending every race with the goal of Top 10 results. I will also focus on qualifying
for EWS 2024. This will be done by attending Tennessee Nationals, USA Cycling
Nationals, NAC, and more. These races will be my primary focus, my secondary focus
includes select races of the Southern Enduro Tour, Revolution Enduro, and Bootleg
Gravity Series.
