Personal History
Hi, my name is Brandon and I am 7 years old. I live in NW Montana and love to ride my dirt bike. I started riding last year when my dad bought me a Honda CRF50 to learn on. I caught on to riding pretty easy and talked my dad into letting me try racing. My first race was in the fall of 2007 and I placed 3rd. After doing way better than my dad thought I would do he put me on a KTM 50 pro jr so I wouldn't be at such a disadvantage. The fall races went pretty good and I finished 2nd overall in the points in the 50cc B class. Over the winter months it was hard not to think about racing and finally the spring came. My first race was in mid March and I raced in the 50cc B class and won the race. I moved up to a KTM 50 pro sr and I love the bigger bike. I am pretty tall for my age and the bigger bike suits me much better. The Spring races have gone very well and I am having a blast. It seems like over the past month a switch has been turned on and I am really understanding what it takes to race. My results have been great, and I won my first points title. Hopefuuly this trend will continue and this will just be the first of many......
Off the track my main interests are school and Tae Kwon Do. I really enjoy school and I will be going into the 3rd grade this fall. I am an honor roll student and hope I can keep this up. My parents push me to do my best and I want to make them proud of me. My favorite subject is math. Working through math problems challenge me and that makes it fun. My other hobby is studying Tae Kwon Do martial arts. I started this in the winter and have already earned my yellow belt. I really have alot of fun doing this but not as much as racing.
Riding Goals
This year I hope to race a few more of the HCMA State Races here in Montana and really focus on getting better as a racer and as a person. I am currently working with a local pro and trying to improve on the small things to help reduce my lap times.
Competitive Highlights
Well, I have only been riding for about a year so my highlights are not as many as some. In my first points series I finished 2nd and that really fueled my fire to want to win. This spring has been great. I have leared a lot and my results have improved. I won the Westmont Spring Series points title for the 50cc A class. Also this spring, I have placed a 2nd in a HCMA State Race in Helena, MT, and then just a couple of weeks ago I won my first HCMA State Race in Butte, MT.
