Personal History
Hi my name is Brandon Uhley @BrandonUhley_65. I started riding when I was 3 years old, and racing when I was 9. When I was about 10 years old I decided I wanted to take racing seriously and go for a champion ship in my 65 9 to 11 class. My family didn't have much money they invested everything in my racing. Before the season started My dads friend bought a tricked out 65 that was set up for a bigger rider, and my dad sent my motor into pro circuit to get it modded. By then we were pretty much broke but luckily my grandpa was there to support us. when the racing season started me and my buddy and 2 other kids were always the ones up front. long story short it was the 6th race into the season and my friend and I were battleing hard for 1st place and his mom protested that I jumped on a yellow flag. after the race it was carnage. parents fighting track officals arguing the president of TSDR was there arguing to. Well we got it on tape and I did not jump. So i didn't get docked any points. But I did end up loosing my best friend... The main event came around We were battling. I past him, lep him pass me back, passed him again and let him pass me back and so on. Why was I letting him pass me? to prove a point. the turn before the finish I rocketed out of the sweeper turn, clearly gunna win the race. I stuck my hand out to the side and waved him past. surprisingly my sponsor the edge powersports was proud when I thought he was going to be very upset. my parents were crying cause they were so shocked that i proved a point only being 10 years old. I did end up loosing the championship by one race.., but in my mind I won. So we moved to phoenix hoping to do national races on my brand new cr150f big wheel. But things took a turn. A big dream ending turn. We moved for more money. as you know motocross is expensive. My dad went to work with his best friend and he was also my dads boss. So seems perfect dads guna be making money finally his best friend is his boss i mean how perfect right? well he was a drunk, my dad would hangout with him a lot and he ended up being a drunk and parents would fight everyday. every fight they would have I could see my dreams fade away very slowly. It was heart breaking. In years I rode 2 times and my bike was brand new. We went riding at speed world one night and I ended up breaking my tibia cause I cased a step down. It wouldnt have broke but my suspension was way to soft cause I gained alot of wait sitting at home all day. Got a cast that was up to my hip for 3 weeks and when I got it off I continued doing absolutely nothing again. I forgot to mension earlier I got home schooled cause I was expecting to have no time for school. My dad finally stood up to his boss and said look dude. start paying me more or i'm moving. So he was gunna have my dad flip a $600.000 house. We woule rent from my dads boss and he ended up selling our house so we had to move to prescott in a class c motor home for 6 months. family of 4 2 dogs it was rough. We never got to flip the $600.000 house so we moved to Lake Havasu City AZ. Living in my dads side grandma and grandpas house If it wasnt for them we would be homeless. my dad got a job getting $500 a week when he could be getting $800 a week but he is to nice. This guy broke his leg so my dad jumped in to help him. Around christmas time 2013. My dad surprised me with a 2014 kx250f. I was speechless. Even though I knew i won't be going pro It was a dirtbike. I was pumped. My great grandma game her lot to my dad, ounce again he is to nice and gave it to his dad hoping he would build a house for us. he could either build a house for us, or sell it. Well it was carnage. Huge fight. I wouldtell the whole story but i'm sure you are getting tired of this if you made it this far... So we are now renting a house for $800 a month and can barely afford it. When my dad gets back from oregon he is gunna quit his job and get a big paying job. I'm starting to train again, road cycling 6 days a week and trying to make a comeback. I only ride ounce every couple weeks but when I get my licence i'm gunna be riding a ton. I treat everything as if it is my job. There is nothing I want more then to prove to myself that I can do it. loretta lynn qualifiers are going on right now and I'm gunna make sure i'm ready for them next year. I need your guys help to make sure my bike and myself are ready to go and so I have 100% confidence in myself and my machine. Thank you for reading this. - Brandon Uhley
