Personal History
I am 41 years old and I have been riding since I was a teen in jr. high school. I always rode my friends bikes and it wasn't until I was a young adult that I had my own bike. I have been riding ever since. My two sons also ride and have occasionally raced as well. My oldest son is in the Army now so he doesn't get to ride as much anymore. I also work at a motorcycle shop selling parts. We have a small shop but we are growing.
Riding Goals
I want to continue to ride as long as my old body will allow. I also plan to race a few events in 2013. I will probably race in the 30 plus class or in the senior class. I mainly do harescrambles and grand prix type races.
Competitive Highlights
I raced a full season in 1996 in AMA's district 11. I ran the 250 class and finished 7th in the class for the year. It was a real eye opener and a learning experience for sure. I planned to do the same the following year but I was injured in a practice crash which cut my season short. After that, I changed gears a little and just trail rode for a while. I have raced ever since here and there but never a full season. I may try to do that this coming year if I can get all of my ducks in a row.
