Personal History
My name is Lukas Haile, and I’m a 14-year-old living in Anthem, AZ, with my 8-year-old sister, Linkoln, Mom and Dad. I’m currently in 8th grade, preparing for the big move to high school. I’ve been involved in baseball since T-ball, advancing to competitive travel teams, but I recently noticed my enthusiasm for the sport fading. My dad introduced me to motorized bikes before I started baseball, and riding has always been my true passion. With my grandfather a retired factory bultaco racer, im looking to keep the sport alive within the bloodline. The discipline and teamwork I learned from baseball will aid my motocross aspirations, and with weekly coaching, I’m focused on improving my skills on the track and connecting with the motocross community. Outside of training in the desert or at the track, I spend time riding pit bikes or e-motos, hanging out with family, or enjoying outdoor activities.
Riding Goals
Riding has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Since I was 10, my dad and I have tackled 30-40 mile dirt bike loops, with our favorite being the Crown King ride and back. This year, my focus is to train relentlessly. I work weekly with a personal riding coach at the local track or in the desert, combining structured lessons with two additional track or desert sessions each week as my training foundation. I compete in the AZOP race series, committing to every race weekend through 2026. As a registered AMA member (95x), I’m eager to dive into more AMA, AMRA desert and motocross races. I’m just starting out, but I’m ready to race and practice whenever and wherever I can.
My racing goals are to soak up knowledge, climb the podium rankings, and build lasting friendships along the way. I'm new to the big bikes, so I'm really looking forward to growing into my bike as well. My first motocross race was in Camp Verde in the 250C class. On the first day, I finished 8th in my class and 20th overall. I was thrilled with the result—it showed I have plenty of room to grow but also proved that all those miles riding with my dad gave me a solid edge. At 14, racing in this class on my bike, I was proud of my 20th overall, especially against such fast competitors. Mixing it up handlebar-to-handlebar with them was the best part, and I can’t wait for more.
Competitive Highlights
For years, baseball defined my focus, leading to 13 championship rings and numerous medals for my efforts. I’ve also shone academically, earning several awards, and I’m always ready to lend a hand at home. Now, I’m diving into motocross, a sport that fuels my passion with its intensity. The grit and teamwork I honed in baseball will drive my training and racing. With consistent coaching, I’m committed to sharpening my skills, competing in races, and forging connections in the motocross world, aiming to achieve new victories on the track.
