Personal History
Education: Currently on the Honor Roll attending the Elite School-Within-A-School Program, as a Junior, at East High School.
Personal Dirt Bike Racing History: I have been a member of the Anchorage Racing LIons for the past 5 years. The first year, I raced in the 65cc class on a Yamaha TTR 110. In 2010 I moved up to a Suzuki RM 85L Big Bike and raced on that until the end of the 2011 season. At the end of the season it was suggested that I move up to a larger CC bike, so as to have the option available to continue developing my basic and emerging skills. Currently, I am excited to say, my family was able to purchase a ‘13 KTM 250SXF for me to race this year. Overall, I did very well on my new bike. I took 1st for our State Series, in both classes I raced, and 3rd overall, in the City Series, for both the classes I raced in also.
Riding Goals
Work on increasing my riding skills and racing stamina through lots of routine and practice as well as individualized tutoring from prior-experienced rider(s). Increase my knowledge of how to properly maintain and repair both my brother’s KTM 65SX, as well as my own bike, so as to keep them in race-ready condition. I also plan on learning how my new bike handles, how to set it up for my riding style and/or needs, and how to ride it to the best of it’s (and my) ability. Overall, my goal is to be the best I can be. I realize that this year I will be up against some strong competitors and that I have a long way towards learning about how my bike works and handles. I am realistic in knowing that this will be a year of learning and developing but I plan on working hard, training hard, and riding hard. I will put forth my best effort, learn from my mistakes, and continue to become a better rider both on and off the track.
Competitive Highlights
Took 1st in State and 3rd in City for both the Youth and 250 Intermediate classes I raced in this year.
