Personal History

Please let me introduce Braeden Krebs. Currently 13 years old and in grade Eight at St Brendens School here in Yeppoon, Queensland, Australia. Braeden or “Roo” as he is known amongst his peers is a very keen competitor on the Queensland Motocross scene. His first sporting career choice was Rugby League, and did very well, but soon realised that it wasn't the sport for him. Next was gymnastics to which he excelled and competed at a state level. Even though he liked gymnastics the "thrill" wasn't there. He was introduced to MX through his best friends by talking him into a "come and try" day at the local MX track and since then he hasn't looked back. He then began competing in a couple of local club day races at the end of 2015 and since then has had a burning desire to do nothing but MX. Riding a Kawasaki KX 85 he has just finished his first racing year, 2016+, in the Mini Lite 12 – 16yr class. Mind you, as his parent, I believe his schooling is first and foremost. Hence the deal was made that should his grades slide so will MX. Brae has made sceptics into believers by not only achieving awesome results in the classroom but also stepping up and showing all that he is a very competitive rider on the track. Braeden is a very determined but fun loving lad, stands up for what he believes in, respects those who are his teachers/coaches and represents his family with pride. Below are his results for the 2016 race season. Results for 2016:- CQ Series Rockhampton Rd 1 – 12th Biloela Rd 2 – 10th Clermont Rd 3 – 9th Moranbah Rd 4 – 8th Proserpine Rd 5 – 7th Mackay Rd 6 – 8th End result was 8th overall, 5th 12 – 13yr age group Queensland Titles Mackay was not a good weekend. Having his first DNF, caused by complete engine failure due to a faulty part, saw Brae use a borrowed bike for the rest of the weekend. Even though the bike was unfamiliar he did compete strongly making an impression on his rivals. Hervey Bay was a little better, against our wishes due to suffering the flu and temperature, he convinced us to go. But sand riding was unfamiliar and he finished the weekend in 18th place. CH Series Emerald Rd 1 – 2nd Blackwater Rd 2 – 4th ( This was an interesting weekend. The Australian Champion, Bailey Malkiewicz, was in the area and decided to race as well. Brae managed to grab the holeshot twice but due to experience Bailey showed us all why he’s the best.) Middlemount Rd 3 – 3rd Dysart Rd 4 – DNS (Ocean to Motion Rd 2) Ocean To Motion Series Gladstone Rd 1 – DNS ( Racing CH Rd 3) Biloela Rd 2 – 4th Rockhampton Rd 3 – 3rd Yeppoon Rd 4 – 4th Reef To Beef (Interclub between Rockhampton and Yeppoon) 5th overall for weekend. As well as racing a few different club days with the average placings being between 1st and 4th Braeden has enjoyed a mixed bag of results for 2016 and has already started his off season training with his sights firmly placed on attending the Australian Titles in 2017. I Thank you for you taking the time to read this. If you would like any additional information please email or contact me on 0427277790. Regards Jason Krebs
