Personal History
I am married to my beautiful wife of 9 years and have two incredible girls who are 5 years and 19 months old. My wife is a stay at home mom and does an amazing job taking care of our girls and keeping our house running smoothly. I am a Construction Coordinator for a commercial construction company in the Pheonix Metro area.
I remember getting my first bike when I was around six years old and it was a 1980 rm50. My brother and I shaired it and we rode that thing into the ground. My next bike wasn't until I was in the seventh grade and I had saved up enough money to buy a 1985 kx80. I thought that bike was so cool back then since it had an early version of the mono shock. I rode it for a couple of years and eventually sold it.
I didn't get back into riding until I had been out of high school for a few years and haven't stopped since. All my friends who rode would only ride the woods so naturally that is all I did. It really taught me alot about bike control and how to ride in some pretty gnarly conditions. After four years of riding nothing but woods, I was wanting to try something else. I really wanted to get into motocross, but none of the guys I rode with had any interest at all.
I started to going to the track by myself to try and learn what mx is all about and it only took one time at the track fro me to get fully hooked. I would watch all the "fast guys" to see what they were doing and try and apply it to my riding. I eventually built up the nerve to go and talk to one of the "fast guys" about a section of the track and how he made it look so easy. I really thought he was going to blow me off since I was just a "beginner" and he clearly new what he was doing, but I was wrong. That "fast guy" has become one of my best friends and we ride together all the time. He has introduced me to all the guys I currently ride with and has taught me just about everything I know about mx.
Now I try and ride and race as much as I can or as much as the wife will let me. I like the fact that most of the guys I ride with are faster than me so it keeps pushing me to get better. This has been a great year of riding and racing and can't wait for the next time I get to put on the gear and do it again.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
