Personal History

My name is Brad Kress, I am 38 yrs old and have been involved with the sport since 1986. Did not race much until 1988 and had a growth spurt and started to win the schoolboy and 125 c class on a regularly basis. Went from B to A in a single weekend (COCKY). Finished third the first time and begin to get my but kicked for the rest of that yr.1989. In 1990 was the turning point for me as I grew I got faster and began to win the schoolboy and A class with ease. Got top 10 at L.L. in the schoolboy class in 1991 and went pretty much undefeated locally. Turned  Pro in 1992 and ran a few Supercross's and nationals. (Too Soon) 1993 Won everything Locally and won a regional only to get 8 at L.L. in the 250 A stock class. A huge let down as I just did not train enough. 1994 Went Pro full time and raced the entire East Coast Supercross series with never making the program in the 125 class. (Hated Confined Areas) Ran several outdoor Nationals making most of them and running top 25 or so. Awesome yr. 1995 had a kid. (oops) Stopped racing and became a family man and came back in 1998 and broke my neck. Done until 2000 and came back once again regaining my speed and then some. Set my goals at racing Red Bud in 2001. I ran at the front in my qualifier and wound up 4th. Started both motos and I believe I got a 27th overall. Not what I wanted but was the best I had for those two moto's. Since then I have been the mentor for most of the youth in the state of Michigan. My reason for doing this now is I have started back racing and training for L.L. in 2015. Plus 35 and Plus 40. I have always said (if you cant sell on Sunday, you cant eat on Monday). thanks for taking the time to learn who I am.

UPDATE: L.L. in 2015 is out for me as they just changed the rule that any former pro can not race a vet class unless it is 45plus pro. So I will race Locally and do my best to promote and sell the products that I am sponsored by. Thanks again...

Riding Goals

My goals for the 2014 season was simple. Get back on a bike, lose weight and get back to the speed I had before I was Injured. Well I reached a few of them. I raced and practiced a lot, I lost 35 lbs, and I almost won the championship. My speed is coming back. More training and I will reach my goal. So I will continue this journey to the top. The question remains, Do you want to be a part of this Journey.

Competitive Highlights

Just a Old School Pro with a 1000 plus local wins and a few nationals thrown in.
