Personal History
My name is Bozton McDonald, I am 15 years old currently living in southern California, as well as part time in western Montana. I am a 3.5 GPA high school student, active in community volunteer service through my school. I began riding just two years ago, progressed from a CRF230F, to a CRF450X, and now racing in the District-37 AMA Desert Series this year on my 2021 CRF450RX in the Heavyweight Novice class.
Riding Goals
My short term goals are to move up to the Intermediate class at the end of this first D37 season, then hopefully up to Expert class one or two seasons after that. I plan to race additional desert scrambles, as well as hare & hound, sprint enduro, and possibly grand prix races. My long term goals are to race and compete at a high level, growing as a racer and increasing my abilities, while also maintaining my academics and remaining healthy. I am looking for industry sponsors to help me navigate my racing endeavors, whom I will represent with a positive can-do attitude, professionalism, and mutual respect toward my fellow racers.
Competitive Highlights
I have competed in two D37 desert scramble events so far this Spring, coming in 14th in the first race and 11th in the second. These events are typically dead engine bomb starts, with race loops ranging between 6 miles and 37 miles in length. The race terrain is typical California high-desert, both rocky & sandy, very fast-paced most of the time with the occasional technical sections thrown in.
