Personal History
I have been riding bikes ever since I can remember and my Dad says I started with no training wheels, just got on took a push and started peddling. This lead to mountain biking and down hilling. My Dad used to race down hill, so I was soon riding with him and his race buddies and when I was 8 I traveled to CO to ride with them at Keystone. Shortly after that I got a Honda CRF 70 and rode every day around the yard, then a Suzuki DX 80 (both were old and used). We signed up for a race at Southwick MA called "Pegs to pedals" where you raced 3 laps on the moto track then immediately transitioned to your mountain bike for a race through the woods. I did not so well on the moto track but ended up passing others once I got to my mountain bike and took home my 1st trophy for 2nd place. This is where my love for moto began. Over the next 2 years my mountain bike so less action but my moto saw much more (now they a close to equal amount).
My 1st year racing, we rode a mix of JDay and MX - to try and decide which we liked best. My placing on MX was getting better and better, I won 2nd place in the NESC series that year. (history below)
I like anything 2 wheels and when there is not snow on the ground I'm usually on a bike somewhere! Once the snow flies, I still try to ride when I can, but transition to skiing and snowboarding. I spend a majority of after school and weekends at my local mountain, Ski Sundown. Last year I was in there opening day video!
I am in 8th grade and I do well and school, and sometime wish they offered the sports I like. I do not participate in any school sports. However, I can sometimes be found at my older brothers baseball game riding wheelies on my mountain bike around the field. LOL
Thank you for the opportunity to apply.
