Personal History
My name is Billy Wenk and I am from Bermuda Run, NC. I started riding when I was 5 years old, and turned pro when I was 18. My amateur career was challenged with injuries from time to time and ultimately I decided to quit racing when I was 20 years old after an injury at the Gatorback Regional. I pulled the holeshot in open pro sport and woke up on the ground. I ended that day with a torn ACL. I have always had really good speed, but didn't quite have the tools and opportunity to show what my talent was. I raced for Rock River Yamaha my last two years before my amateur career ended. Fast forward, I have been blessed to build a successful business (HBi Auto) that runs without me, after seeing many people who I used to race as a kid and beat now succeeding at a much older age in racing, I decided life is short and I wanted to give racing another try. I started riding again on March 15th and since been training in Florida frequently and planning to start racing again. I am currently racing 30 years old and racing 250 pro sport, 450 pro sport, 25+, and 30+. I plan to attend Lorreta's this year in 25+ and 30+. My goal is to fulfill my potential I never did, although I want to succeed, I don't have to make it racing now which allows me to enjoy the process, and I can dedicate the next few years to maximizing my potential and I have the luxury of training more now than when I was a kid. I have been featured in several major publications from my business and I understand both sides
