Personal History
My name is Bentley Steven, I'm six years old and reside out of Gladbrook, IA. I started riding my PW50 at age 3 and just started racing during the 2018 season and have earned good finishes so far. Racing does run in the family as my father competitive in the A classes and my grandfather used to race high speed boats. I'm currently in first grade and am involved in many activities, including: t-ball, soccer, basketball, football and Sunday/Bible school. I take school very serious as I have aspirations to be a doctor when I grow up. When I do have some free time between racing, riding and my other activities, I enjoy spending time with my younger brother and just being a kid.
Riding Goals
I started out the 2018 season just wanting to learn the fundamentals, have fun and ride my dirt bike. The first couple races I competed on my PW50 and did well enough that we got a KTM50 and now I race both bikes. Local racing is fun and exciting, but I wanted to race against fast kids from other states to see how I compare and stacked up. I was able to qualify for the Loretta Lynn's Amateur Regional event in Walnut, IL where I placed 14th out of 25th, respectively. It was a good learning experience and now I know what to work on for next year in my pursuit to qualify for the Loretta Lynn's Amateur National.
My goals for next year include some of my same goals from 2018. Work on the fundamentals and have fun riding my dirt bikes. My main focus will be to qualify for Loretta Lynn's and I would also like to compete at the Motoplayground Race in Ponca City, race most of the Spring Creek MX series and sign up for the KTM Junior Supercross Challenge. The plan is to race at more of a regional to national level to work on my skill set and to race faster competition.
