Personal History
Benjamin Jurek #718 on 2012 Yamaha 450s this year! Started as the family thing for my little brother and I to go riding growing up and eventually turned into racing. I started racing at age 12 on a CR80 bigwheel! We raced locally on the Cornhusker circuit in Nebraska and Kansas and RMXA and SRAC circuits in Colorado. My parents always kept it fun and I have had an awesome life growing up with motocross. It's in my blood, live to ride, ride to live! I have a lot of great friends from motocross and always seem to make new ones at every race.
During the week I work as a sampler for a grain inspection service here in Colby KS. It keeps me in great shape and I get to work outside which I love. I have a house in the country with a nice piece of land with a track for practice motos. I have a great group of riding buddies, friends and my awesome family to keep me motivated and help me out with my racing!
I'm taking classes online to become a nutritionist/dietician. I've been health conscious from a young age which I owe to being an avid athlete as a kid. I really enjoy eating healthy and working out to feel good and perform well.
I also mountain and road bike for fun and for conditioning. I really enjoy snowboarding and skating as well. I have a miniramp in my shop that I can shred pretty good! Im just and active guy, a jack of all trades type.
Riding Goals
Last year I had a solid season on the Cornhusker Circuit and a good weekend at the Best of the Midwest race at Abbott MX. I'm building on that this year by getting and early start by hitting some arenacross races. There's still snow on the ground here so I'm lacking seat time but I'm gonna do the best I can! The first race of the moto season is April 7 so I'm looking forward to that. I will be riding the Cornhusker Circuit as well as the RMXA and SRAC Circuits as my staple this year. I will definately do the Best in the Midwest race again in September as well as the NMA amateur national in Norman. I will also try to qualify for Loretta's at Lakewood CO.
I want to do well in every single moto I ride. I also want to stay healthy and be able to race every weekend. I put my time in during the week to be successful on the weekends. Moto is fun on and off the track and I want to keep it that way. I enjoy going every weekend to race and to meet old and new friends alike. I have a great girl to help me get everything together and get me to the track. I also have a great riding buddy/mechanic that wrenches for me and takes awesome care of my bikes. I appreciate them and my other friends and family very much and doing well is my way of showing them that it's worth their time!
Moto is very expensive at any level but to keep two bikes, that I am very particular about, in top condition is a huge burden. Part orders are a weekly chore that becomes very costly. I thank you in advance for any support that you can send my way, it is greatly appreciated. Here's to a great 2013 season together!!
