Personal History

Hi, my name is Ben Gentges, I’m 18 years old. I began riding dirt bikes when I was three years old following the footsteps of my older brother and my dad. I have always been part of the racing family. My dad raced since he was 20 and he brought that to me and my brother who is 2 years older than me. As I grew older, I began to become competitive in other sports such as soccer, baseball and basketball which left me little time for riding much less racing. This led to me taking about a 5-year break where I was only riding here and there, maybe getting do one race a year. Once I entered high school traveling sports began to die down which left me more time for dirt bikes. I got back into racing about 3 years ago and have been coming up through the local ranks quickly. I started with winning C class my first season back, then moving to B class where I also won.  Unfortunately, I had a knee injury that required surgery forcing me off the bike for the majority of last summer.  I jumped back into racing moving up to A class where I got won the series. Now i ride local pro class and have had a few overall wins and a second place in the winter series overall points standings last season.

Riding Goals

My goals as a rider are to become the best rider I can be. I’m hoping to be able to get the pro class championship win. I am also looking forward to attending more national races including NEPGs, and some of the closer GNCC’s.

Competitive Highlights

As mentioned up above I have won the C class, B class and A class for the winter series, and have finished second in pro class standings with a few overall wins.
