Personal History
I’m 21 years old and a T-5 paraplegic from a ATV accident 2 years ago. I am completely driven and very motivated. I love to ride, and race atvs that’s all I pretty much think about. I was injured while training for a motocross race on August 20th, 2006. When the doctor told me the diagnoses, my first 2 questions for the doctor were; when am I going to walk and when can I race again. I rode my Yamaha YFZ 450 on June 17th, 2007. It was less than 10 months after my accident. My Yamaha YFZ 450 is fully adapted for me to ride. I practice 3-5 times a week on my practice track according to weather. I play wheelchair basketball 3-4 times a week. I work out at the gym lifting weights 2-3 times a week. On July 26th I became the 1st Paraplegic to race an ATV National Motocross at AMA ATV Redbud National, in Buchannan, Michigan. Racing is what I live for day in and day out. Nothing will stop me from doing it and I love to train week in and week out.
