Personal History
Former Pro 24hr endurance cross-country mountain bike racer. Grew up riding a 1976 Yamaha 80, until I was 13. I then competed in track and football thru college. Just prior to graduation I started mountain biking. It wasn't until October 2018 that I finally got another motorcycle, a 2009 YZ250F. After feeling comfortable on it I allowed my friends to talk me into racing hare scrambles. I chose the VCHSS series, as it is known for more technical and tight single track which is similar to mountain biking. I was only able to make it to 7 of the races, but I had great results. 4 1st place finishes and 3 2nd place finishes. My 3 losses (2nd place finishes) came in race #1, then in the 2 mud races I attended.
Riding Goals
For 2020 I am planning to attend 10 VCHSS races, as well as a couple team/solo endurance races.
Competitive Highlights
1st year of racing, with only a few months on the YZ, I finished 1st 4x's and 2nd 3x's.
In my past mountain bike racing I was crowned US Cup East Single Speed Champion, and placed as high as 21st at worlds for 24hr solo, and 2 top 10's for 24hr US Nat'ls
