Personal History

My name is Austin Stout and I have been competing in desert and motocross racing for the past three years. I race a 2009 KTM 200 XC throughout the year as well as free-riding. I have had a very successful season in 2012 and am looking forward to another great year in 2013.  Some of my hobbies are camping, motorcycles: riding and racing (of course), mountain bike riding, hiking, welding and building things. I am a senior in high school this year and I am taking concurrent enrollment college classes at CEU.

Riding Goals

This year, (2012) I have attened or am attending all of the races in the USRA Desert series.  The next year (2013)I am still committed to race the entire season. I am moving up to the amateur class after a successful year in 2012. I may also race the AMA National Hare and Hound series.

Competitive Highlights

My first desert race was in June 2010, in Price, Utah. I was able to finish 1st overall in the minis class. For 2011 I moved up to the big bike class on a CRF 250R in the novice class, and have done reasonable with almost all races in the top ten (overall the novices). 2012 has been a great year for me, holding the points lead most of the season. I also try to compete in other races besides the USRA series to hone my skill. Recently I raced a grand prix in the Amateur Ironman class (instead of novice) and took first.
