Personal History

Hi my names Austin Schlegelmilch and i am located in Yerington Nevada. Most people have never heard of this town due to its small size and is known for its onion farms. I have been riding since i was 4 years old and and began racing the same year. I continued on this path until i was 9 when i chose that i wished to do other sports such as football, baseball, and wrestling instead of moto. I took time off the bike and when i was 14 my brother and i got a yz250. After riding day after day i knew i had to be back in the moto circuit. My parents felt differently about the subject and only let me ride. After about a year i got my own bike, a 08 kx450f and was still riding constantly. When i turned 16 my parent told me i could race, but dessert race. I completed 2 races before a football injury took me out for the season. Then this year, i was finally allowed to start motocross again and i haven't been happier. Nothing compares to being out on the track with your friends competing for something you love.

Riding Goals

My riding goal is to win a local series championship this year and next year. To complete this goal I need to stick with the commitment of riding everyday and staying on a healthy diet. This will ensure I'm in the best shape and better prepared for upcoming races. I also have a goal of jumping up a class by the end of the year.
