Personal History
My name is Austin Perkins and I am 15 years old and I ride a Yz 250 in the intermediate class. I live with a family in Corona, California. I've lived here my whole life. My Dad's name is Derek, and he is always helping me as much as he can to make me better. My Mom's name is Susan, and she basically takes care of the family and makes sure i have everything that i need. I also have a little sister named Sydney. She is 10 years old and does some racing herself. She does the kid events for all the big races like i used to do when i first started racing. For training, I run, race cross country and do track and field at my High School. These sports keep me in shape and help with my endurance.
Riding Goals
My goal for the 2013 season is to make it to every single race in the District 37 series. I am going for that number 1 plate for the 250 class and I will do whatever it takes to do it. My main series i race in the District 37 series and my specialist is Desert racing. I will also be doing Grand Prix and Enduros to get as much Desert points as possible.
Competitive Highlights
Iv'e had a lot of great highlights in my life. But my greatest was finishing 15th overall out of 150 people and 1st in class in the Lake Elsinore GP 2012. I started in the last line and picked my way through the pack. I charged hard and kept a strong steady pase.
