Personal History

My name is Austin McDaniel, I am 24 years old I have a big family, and now I’ve started my own family with my 3 year old boy and another one on the way. I am a first generation racer. I started riding in my back yard at my Grandpas house when I was 6. It wasn’t until I was 16 that I started riding at tracks. When I turned 17 I enlisted into the United States Army where I served honorably for 5 years. Unfortunately I couldn't ride for 7 years due to the army. I started riding and racing this last October where I had my first two races I’ve ever had and placed 11th after missing the gate drop due to tending to my kid and the second race I placed 8th. The reason why I’m so passionate and why I picked up this sport again is because I’m overly competitive and always need to be competing and also because it helps my PTSD and other mental disabilities from the Army.

Riding Goals

This year I want to race a full season and qualify for and place in the top half of the Texas State Championship in my class. As well as the Big Side of Texas Series.

Competitive Highlights

I started riding and racing this last October where I had my first two races I’ve ever had and placed 11th overall. I missed the gate drop in the first moto due to tending to my Son in the parking lot. And the second race I placed 8th.
