Personal History
-I am a 22 year old full time (engineering) college student. I have been interning for the past year at Harley Davidson and my life pretty much revolves around motor sports.
-I've been riding atvs, snowmobiles, and street bikes for quite some time, but just this last spring got to finally start a life long dream of racing.
-Ive owned 4 street bikes, 3 snowmobiles, a quad, 3 dirt bikes within the last year, and am currently rebuilding a Honda f4i to use for track days as I would like to get into racing superbikes as well.
-Started out on an 04 RMZ250 and after riding that for a few months traded up for an 08 ktm sxf250. I absolutely loved that bike but by the end of the season it had over 90 hrs on it and nothing was straight anymore after a pretty hard crash. This fall I picked up an 03 yz250f that was in pretty rough shape. This bike is older but I got it so cheap it allowed me to put many aftermarket add ons making it probably better then my ktm.
The bike recieved:
-Valve Job (the only thing I did not do myself)
-New cylinder
-wiseco high compression race piston
-Jetting
-Two brothers full system
-Vortex sprockets
-DID chain
-Pro Taper bars
-Grips
-Fork Bleeders
-Combined 2 sets of forks to make one good set
-ASV clutch perch and levers
-Plastics
-Seat
-Graphics/numbers
-Race tech springs front and rear for my weight. The sag was also properly set.
-Bike runs on 110 octane
-This bike absolutely rips (and race gas smells so good)
Riding Goals
-I am looking to run as many AMA races this year as I can afford and be finishing consistent top threes in 250c, if not moving on to B, by the end of the season.
- I understand that some would consider my goals to be set high for someone who has only been riding for a year but I have an extremely competitive nature and natural riding ability. I caught on very fast and ride w/ some more experienced riders who help with good tips and being fast riders to practice w/.
Competitive Highlights
-I got my first dirt bike this past spring and went to my first race less then a week later. Note that I had only driven a dirt bike through a field once in my life prior.
-I was finishing in the middle of the pack pretty much since I started and by the end of the season I was doing consistent top 5s in both 250c and open C at the local track.
