Personal History
My name is Austin Gessner, I have been riding dirt bikes for as long as I can remember, my first race was in 2013 on a ktm 65. I was never really into to racing like the rest of my family, so I stopped racing in 2016. That’s until 2021 summer, I bought a 2016 kx450f my dad, his buddy and I built a cool back yard track and I rode every single day, I wanted to start racing again so bad. That’s until I got in a rough spot when my parents split up and had to sell my bike, unfortunately the guy that wanted to buy it ended up stealing it from me and I never got it back. Then recently my buddy let me ride his bike at a couple tracks, ended up buying it from him and now I plan on racing all next season. Felt good to be at the track with my dad and little brother again!
Riding Goals
My riding goals are to be riding in the B class (Amateur) by the end of the 2023 season. Also would love to start working on my stamina and work on my arm pump.
Competitive Highlights
Just the 2 races I did this year, I placed 5th overall out of 17 riders in Open beginner. Then my last race I placed 7th overall out of 28 riders in 250 beginner.
