Personal History
Hello my name is Austin Barlow and I have been riding dirt bikes since I was eleven years old. I currently ride a 2021 Yamaha YZ250F. I never had the finances to be able to race more than 1-2 times a year in my hometown of Belmont, North Carolina. When I turned 21 I decided to fight for a cause that was bigger than myself and joined the U.S. Army. Upon enlisting I have since married my long time girlfriend Kera, and we moved out to Colorado where I am currently stationed at Fort Carson. I work for the Army as a 91M (Bradley fighting vehicle mechanic) and I really enjoy my job where I work on Diesel engines, drive train components and complex electrical systems. I have been able to ride a lot more and in the last 2 & 1/2 years since moving out to Colorado and I have made a lot of progress in riding and training. I typically ride 2-3 times per week and I run and train a minimum of 5 times per week. And when I am not riding dirt bikes, I have started rebuilding dirt bikes for fun. I have a true passion for the sport!
Riding Goals
My current short term goal is to place top 5 in one of the Rocky Mountain Racing Association races.
my long term goals are to
win a local championship in the C class
qualify for Loretta Lynn’s.
move up to the B class.
grow my social media platform to over 100k followers through riding videos.
Competitive Highlights
I was not able to race this year because of the covid 19 pandemic. this will be my first time lining up on the starting gate in 6 years.
I am one of the faster guys at my local track and often get asked questions about riding tips and about my bike setup and gear. I have made a lot of friends and am well known in our local motocross community.
