Personal History
I started riding ATVs in 2009 when I was four years old. In 2015, at the age of ten, I saved enough money to buy my first dirt bike. I spent that year riding with my dad at our local off road park. I was hooked from the first day.
In 2016, I decided to enter a few 65cc beginner Hare Scrambles. After every race, I asked myself, "what are three things I can do better next time?" I try not to focus on what position I finish, I try to focus on goals of improving my riding whether it be better turns, faster over logs, or just quicker lap times. I know my finishing positions will improve as I build my skills.
In 2017, I moved up to 85cc Hare Scrambles where I continue to improve my skills. Not only have I improved my skills racing, but I have also taken on more responsibility in maintaining my own bike. I wash my bike, change the oil, clean the air filter and I can even replace the piston and rings by myself. Part of being a better riding means knowing how everything works on the bike and knowing what to change to make it perform its best.
I love riding and racing because it's something both my dad and I enjoy. We have a lot of fun riding together and talking about how to improve my riding. I've also made a lot of great friends through racing and raced against a lot of great riders who inspire me to keep improving.
Riding Goals
My goal is to someday compete in events such as the Erzbergrodeo or Romaniacs races.
Competitive Highlights
I finished my first full year of racing Hare Scrambles in 4th place out of 26. Next year I plan to compete in twice as many races as I did this year. I recently bought a Super Mini that I plan to race next year.
